After struggling with the lack of student-focused churches in the area, the student ministry in Zurich decided to establish its own missional fellowship. After more than five years, this small church, CAMPUS live, continues to grow through evangelistic efforts on local campuses. More than half of the current participants have come to faith through the Zurich student ministry.
Last Sunday (24 May 2009) we baptized five students, three of whom have only been believers for about six months. One of them was Nicolas. His parents, grandparents and one uncle all came out to support him on that special occasion.

Nicolas' story shows how God cares for each individual and goes to great lengths to connect with each person: At the beginning of the last school year, Nicolas attended the Study for Success Seminar. However, he almost missed his chance to get involved with CAMPUS live. We had scheduled to meet for follow-up after the seminar, but he forgot the appointment. I felt moved to drive back to the campus and look for him. I am so thankful that I obeyed that call to go the extra mile and pick Nicolas up.
After that first meeting, Nicolas decided to take part in our Alpha Course, where he entered into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Last week, during our Ascension Day Retreat, he passed me a note that said: "Dear Urs, I just want to say thank you for coming back to meet me that time after the seminar. You came after me like a shepherd looking for a wayward sheep."
These days, Nicolas is witnessing to others on campus, enthusiastically participating in evangelistic outreach using "Perspective Cards".
