Lael, Maria and Lindsey
Her name is Maria! She was a contact I had from our freshman orientation club expo back in January. She had indicated on her questionnaire she was interested in knowing more about how to have a relationship with God. I followed up with her later and we made plans to take a fika the next Wed. My teammate, Lael, and I headed to the fika not sure what to expect. Maria ended up being a super cool girl & we connected instantly. After getting to know her a bit we began talking about spiritual things. She expressed her interest in Jesus, but confessed she had never heard the whole Truth. We proceeded to share the Gospel with her. Maria understood everything but wanted some time to think over it. Never hearing about the opportunity to have a relationship with the God of this Universe was a little overwhelming to say the least. Two weeks later we met up again and she told us proudly that she had prayed and asked Jesus into her heart!
She's excited to learn more & we've already had three follow up meetings with her. She has been reading the Bible on her own and comes to our times with questions already in mind! This is monumental as she is the first Swedish girl to pray to receive Christ since STINT began 3 yrs ago!!! God is on the move here!
